Background
This document is to guide you through the company onboarding process. We’ve worked hard to make this quick and painless. That said, there are a few one-time steps that are necessary to get you up and running. In just a few moments, you’ll be publishing work orders on Go Carrera, setting up your project for success with the right installer on the job—every time!
Go Carrera partners with industry standard payment providers to help you pay subcontractors within our platform. As part of that process, our payment provider creates a digital wallet/account for you to operate from. As such, Beneficial Owner (BO) and/or Controller information is required to create that digital “operating” account for your funds.
Information Required
- Legal business name and/or DBA of company to onboard
- Business type (sole proprietorship, LLC, corporation or partnership)
- Business address
- Business classification (likely business-to-business or services-other, but you will choose from a list Dwolla provides)
- Industry (likely construction-residential building or construction-non residential building)
- Company Employer Identification Number (or W9)
- Routing and account numbers for bank account you’ll use to pay installers
- Contact information for company administrator(s) (typically, you, along with others with the authority to disburse funds)
- Name
- Address
- Birthdate
- Social Security Number (last four digits only)
- Contact information for a company controller (dual roles are OK: one person might be both an administrator and controller)
- Name
- Address
- Birthdate
- Social Security Number (last four digits only)
- Contact information for each person owning 25% or more of the company (Beneficial Ownership)
- Name
- Address
- Birthdate
- Complete Social Security Number
- Drivers license, passport or ID card for each beneficial owner
Our Responsibilities
To facilitate an easy, quick onboarding process for you, Go Carrera will handle these items:
- Send you an email invitation to join Go Carrera as an administrator for your company
- Provide personalized technical support for you as we establish your new Go Carrera account
Steps You’ll Need to Take
To complete your successful onboarding to Go Carrera, you must:
- Respond to your welcome email and set your password
- Gather the information outlined above
- Log into gocarrera.com, click REGISTER WITH DWOLLA, and use click through the preset form to finalize Dwolla verification
Why is Beneficial Ownership (BO)/Controller Address Information Required?
When asked, Beneficial Owner (BO) and Controller address information must be a PERSONAL physical address matching to the individual. Any business address used in these locations will put your account into a manual review mode and will require that you reach out to Go Carrera Support to get you back on track.
This information is required as you are, in effect, establishing a digital bank account/wallet for your company and controller/ownership information is required to tie together that new account and the rightful owner(s) of that account.
Document Upload
If required, you may be asked to upload documentation to verify the business address as well as the business entity itself.
We recommend using a single PDF with multiple pages that contain the following:
- IRS-issued EIN letter (not just the application
- Any US government entity (federal, state, local) issued business formation or licensing exhibiting the name of the business, or;
- Any business formation documents exhibiting the name of the business entity in addition to being filed and stamped by a US government entity (some examples include: filed and stamped Articles of Incorporation, Sales/Use Tax License, Business License, Certificate of Good Standing)
Note: if you’ve prepared this document in advance (recommended), select a Document Type of Other, when prompted.
